About me
Alongside studying architecture, I designed and built our family home in Oxfordshire which was a hugely rewarding experience. From there I wanted to carry on working in a hybrid mode, as both designer and maker to craft 'well-made' spaces and woodwork projects for others, which is why I started 'Benfatto' (which means well-made in Italian).
I studied at the Oxford Brookes University School of Architecture graduating with a first-class undergraduate degree and a postgraduate degree with distinction. Prior to this, I spent 10+ years working in international event management so I'm highly experienced in delivering time critical projects on-schedule and on-budget.
Client review
'We worked with Ben for the design and completion of our outdoor entertainment area. Ben carried out extensive work to reinforce and refurbish the existing decking structure then finished the pergola with a beautifully crafted roof. We were really impressed with Ben’s knowledge and understanding of how to approach the project, he listened to our ideas intently and proposed both practical and aesthetically important enhancements to ensure the final design was stylish, functional and one of quality. We really appreciated Ben’s professionalism and communication throughout all stages of the project and his attention to detail was second to none. We couldn’t be happier with the final outcome.'
